They are responsible for the administration of all medication, wound management, peg feeds, catheter and stoma care, and all procedures requiring a skilled nurse. They are skilled in the challenges of end of life care and promote dignity & compassion. We use the Gold Standard Framework thorughout Langdale.

Associate Nurses/ Healthcare Support Workers

Associate Nurses & Healthcare Support Workers at Langdale are divided into teams; each staff member will usually work in the same team- to promote continuity of care. Care staff attend to your personal care, serve meals and facilitate how you wish to spend your day. All staff have regular supervision and appraisal. We also have regular staff meetings, be it whole house or small department groups to share  ideas and information, this is then cascaded to all.

You will get to know the carers in your area well and they are usually the first people you voice any of your problems or concerns. They in turn get to know you, and are often the first to alert the Registered Nurse of any changes in your health or well-being.

Activities Team

We have a dedicated activities team who are a support to the residents in all social aspects of their lives. They are motivated to provide activities tailored to residents’ strengths and weaknesses. They provide an interesting daily programme of activities which maybe one-one, group work or trips out into the community. The activities therapists are formally trained to provide experiences which are meaningful and fulfilling. We also employ a Music Therapist who assess emotional well-being, physical health, social functioning, communication abilities, and cognitive skills through musical responses; design music sessions for individuals and groups based on client needs.

Catering Staff
