Accommodation
The accommodation at Langdale is over two levels and comprises of four double/shared rooms; twelve single en-suite rooms, thirteen single rooms and six single garden rooms with en-suite wet rooms & digital television, many rooms look over our beautiful gardens. There are two large communal lounges, a passenger lift between floors and many quiet nooks to sit and reflect. Fees paid are primarily dependent care needs but other factors could include room size, facilities and financial circumstances of the client.
All prices are quoted based on the clients nursing needs and include all meals, laundry services and in- house activities. Those service users who are part funded by social services, maybe required to have a third-party contribution involved in their fee plan. Other services can be arranged with the nursing staff, but are subject to standalone charges e.g. hairdressing, chiropody, escort to appointments, dentist & optician fees
We like residents to feel they can make their rooms as comfortable and homely as possible with familiar items (pictures, electronic items). All room have a profiling bed with airflow mattress, a chair appropriate to the resident’s needs, nurse call bell, wardrobe and chest of drawers . Fees are currently from £1190 per week.
Activities
Langdale puts the provision of good care at the heart of its ideals. Langdale offers a full range of activities all year round to keep our residents entertained and young at heart. We believe in ensuring that individuals are assisted to retain a fulfilling lifestyle.
Residents are encouraged and supported to continue their hobbies and interests. We hold regular residents’ meetings and discuss the day to day activities and plan for events in the months ahead. We encourage and support residents to access facilities locally, including local clubs.

Birthdays Celebrations, Exercise to Music, Gardening, Music Workshops and Visiting Musicians, Art and Cookery Sessions, Reminiscence Activities, Special Teas and Summer BBQs, Special Anniversaries, Sailing & Motor Boating, Trips to the Seaside, Visits to Country Parks and Garden Centres, Pub Lunches, Shopping trips & Hairdressing.
Cuisine
At Langdale we pride ourselves on producing freshly cooked meals that our residents find both appetising and nutritious. Our experienced team of cooks provide for all dietary needs; Diabetic, Vegetarian, Low Potassium etc. We work to a six-week rotating menu which varied according to the seasons, always using locally sourced produce and local suppliers where possible. We like to celebrate special occasions, whether it is a birthday, anniversary, Christmas, Easter, or one of our popular themed events. We always place the emphasis on enjoying a meal in convivial surroundings. Dining is a social occasion at Langdale, most of our residents electing to join together at mealtimes. Community
Gosport/Alverstoke enjoys a vibrant community and is home to the famous Royal Navy Submarine Museum, Explosion Museum, Parks & gardens, Model yachting, shops, Tea rooms and a coastline with disabled access with views of the Spinnaker Tower, Solent & Isle of Wight. Residents have access to local library facilities and specialist clubs & support groups.
